A Good Smoke

You’ve chosen your book, a cool glass of delicious spirit is perched within easy reach, what now to make this moment of rest and relaxation sublime? A good smoke, perhaps. No activity compliments a long cigar like reading a fine book, both of which demand time to be savoured and respected to be truly enjoyed.

We aren’t going to tell you how to smoke a cigar. Don’t assume we’re cigar snobs who look down on the uninitiated, however. Far from it, we gladly welcome all newcomers, and hope our selection of reviews guides another clean-lunged individual into the classy world of crafted tobacco products. No, we have no interest in re-inventing the wheel, and by that we mean writing another laborious how-to guide, when so many pioneers have gone before us. View our links section if you want a primer into smoking cigars.

Cigars can be daunting, and the wrong choice can hit the wallet something fierce. Here at Rum & Reviews Magazine, we take those chances for you, and report our findings. That way, you can stride up to your tobacconist with confidence and pick out a cigar which will earn you an approving nod from the fellow.

Along with cigars, we also review cigarillos for the terminally unable-to-stop-moving-for-more-than-five-minutes, and pipe tobacco for the truly hardy smoker.
