All of this high praise for Wold Top brewery from our usually cynical Whisky Czar Steve Crotty had us a little suspicious. Fearing corruption and bribery, the Editor authorised an Internal Affairs investigation. Private Detective Chris Hall from the London Bureau of Beer Affairs and Special Agent Doug McCaffrey of the Cybernautics Division were unleashed on a range of Wold Top’s beers to see if the Czar was still righteous, or had fallen to decadence.
There were many casualties along the way, including an Old Crafty Hen which was caught in the cross-fire. They may be a pair of loose cannons, but by God they get results…
